2 Installation This chapter describes how to: Install a hard drive in the HRTL-One. Install the HRTL-One in a 19 inch (482.6 mm) rack. Connect the HRTL-One to peripheral equipment. Depending on your requirements, you can connect the HRTL-One to a variety of equipment, including camera(s), a monitor, multiplexer, alarm input or remote PC or laptop. Installation Installing the Hard Drive Caution The HRTL-One must be powered off before installing a new hard disk drive or removing an existing hard disk drive. Do not remove the hard drive until after the HRTL-One has been powered down for at least 60 seconds. This will protect the hard drive from possible damage. The hard drive must be installed before the HRTL-One can record video. For a list of compatible hard drives, see Appendix B. To install the hard drive: 1. Pull the active-handle
