MAKING CONNECTIONS HDMI cables are available from your dealer and should not be more than 15’ (4.5 m) in length without having special signal repeaters ‘in line’ to make the signal go further. HDMI to DVI-D connectors will possibly work with the HDMI connector on the DVD 8 but they must provide the ‘digital handshake’ to the DVD 8 before it will offer an output signal from the HDMI connector.
