First Steps First Steps Charging the Battery The camera uses the supplied EN-EL5 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Fully charge the battery with the supplied MH-61 battery charger before first use or when the battery is running low. Establish power cable connection. 1 Connect the power cable to the battery charger (1) and to a power outlet (2). Charging is complete when the lamp stops blinking. • A new or fully exhausted battery will charge in approximately 2 hours. Blinks Battery is charging.
