INSTALLING THE BATTERY Battery compartment door In the event of a power outage, a 9-volt battery (not included) enables the phone to retain numbers stored in memory and the clock to keep accu- rate time. To install the battery: 1. Remove the battery compartment door on the bottom of the unit by removing the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the door to the right and lift it up. 2. CHAIN DIALING FROM MEMORY Use this feature to make calls which require a sequence of numbers such as using a calling card for a frequently called long distance number.
