For optimal performance, charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours before use. Getting started Adding & registering handsets Before using a new TL76008 handset, you must register it with the TL76108 telephone base (purchased separately). The TL76108 telephone can accommodate up to eight cordless handsets. The handset provided with your TL76108 is automatically registered as handset 1. Appendix B Important safety information PACEMAKER PATIENTS • Should keep wireless telephones at least six inches from the pacemaker. • Should NOT place wireless telephones directly over the pace- maker, such as in a breast pocket, when it is turned ON. • Should use the wireless telephone at the ear opposite the pacemaker.
