Oil instructions Filling engine Oil: note: Check oil level only when Engine is stopped and on a level surface. 1. Wipe the immediate surrounding area of the Oil Fill Cap. Unscrew and remove the Oil Fill Cap. Wipe the dipstick connected to the Fill Cap clean, reinsert briefly, remove and examine. 2. Prior to the initial use of the Chipper/Shredder, the fuel tank MUST be filled with approximately one half gallon of unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher. 2.
