Gauges & Indicators Lamp Check Most of the indicator lights come on when you turn the ignition switch ON so you can check that they are working. Some indicators turn off after a few seconds; others remain on until or after the engine is started. The ABS indicator goes off after you ride the motorcycle at a speed above 6 mph (10 kmlh).
