DASH DISASSEMBLY 99-8219 TOYOTA FJ CRUISER 2007-2009 A 1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 2 Remove two Phillips screws from bottom part of side trim panels. Figure A) 3 Using a panel removal tool, carefully remove the side trim panels. (Figure B) Remove (2) Phillips screws from radio 4 trim panel. (Figure C) B 5 Using panel removal tool, carefully remove radio trim panel. (Figure D) 6 Remove (4) 10mm bolts securing the radio. 7 Unplug and remove r

KIT ASSEMBLY 99-8219 DIN RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET *Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio. A 1 Slide the housing brackets onto the side of the radio housing until the clips engage. Note: Brackets are marked left and right. (Figure A) Slide the DIN cage into the Radio 2 Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs outward. (Figure B) 3 Slide the aftermarket radio into the cage and secure. (Figure C) B Continue to final assembly. C 2

KIT ASSEMBLY 99-8219 ISO RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET *Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio. 1 Slide the housing brackets onto A the side of the radio housing until the clips engage. Note: Brackets are marked left and right. (Figure A) 2 Mount the ISO Brackets to the aftermarket radio using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure B) Slide the radio into the radio 3 housing until the side clips engage. Snap the Trim-plate into B the Radio Housing. (Figure C)

Metra recommends using the 1 proper mating adapter and making connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.) 2 Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.
