This portable, cordless telephone is designed to help you use the many features of the AT&T DEFINITY® Communications System Generic 1, Generic 2, and Generic 3, System 75, and System 85. In order to provide you with the freedom of mobility, the MDC 9000 is not connected physically (by a line cord or wire from the handset) to the DEFINITY system (or System 75 or System 85). Instead, the MDC 9000 handset communicates by way of a radio link to its radio base, which connects to the telephone system.
