POWERING UP BATTERY INSTALLATION You must use a 9V battery (not included) in order for the phone to function. When you install the battery, be sure to disconnect the telephone line cords from the back of the unit. 1. Use a screwdriver or other flat tool to open the battery compart- ment door. 2. Insert a fresh, 9-volt alkaline battery. 3. Close the battery compartment door securely. NOTE: If the LOW BATT message appears in the display, you need to replace the 9V battery. 5
