INSTALLATION Trunk Mounting Mounting the amplifier vertically will provide the best cooling of the amplifier. Mounting the amplifier on the floor of the trunk will work but provides less cooling capability than vertical mounting. INSTALLATION 5. Prepare the BLACK wire (Ground cable) for attachment to the amplifier by stripping 1/2" of insulation from the end of the wire.
