Safety General Safety Precautions 1. When installing the PV100S use only components recommended or sold by Xantrex. Doing otherwise may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, and will void the warranty. 2. Safety terminals must use a crimp-on type ring terminal or compression-type lug. The terminals are one bolt per pole. See Figure 3-14 on page 315 for the location of these terminals. 5. Safety De-Energize/Isolation Procedure The following procedure should be followed to de-energize the PV100S for maintenance. WARNING The terminals of the DC input may be energized if the PV arrays are energized. In addition, allow 5 minutes for all capacitors within the main enclosure to discharge after disconnecting the PV100S from AC and DC sources. To isolate the PV100S: 1.
