Purging Air from the Hydraulic System Air bubbles can become trapped inside the hydraulic system thereby reducing the efficiency of the Jack. Purge the air from the system if lift efficiency drops. 1. Place the slotted end of the Handle (5, 6) assembly over the Valve Release screw (18, 21) and turn 1-1/2 turns counterclockwise. 2.
