2. Unlock the socket by pressing the lever sideways, then lift it up to a 90°- 100° angle. Socket Lever Make sure that the socket lever is lifted up to 90°-100° angle, otherwise the CPU does not fit in completely. 3. 1.6 System memory 1.6.1 Overview The motherboard comes with two Double Data Rate (DDR) Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets. These sockets support up to 2GB system memory using 184- pin PC3200/PC2700/PC2100 unbuffered ECC DDR DIMMs and allow up to 3.2 GB/s data transfer rate. The following figure illustrates the location of the DDR DIMM sockets. K8V-F ® K8V-F 184-Pin DDR DIMM Sockets 1.6.2 Memory configuratins You may install 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB DDR DIMMs into the DIMM sockets.

1.6.3 Installing a DIMM Make sure to unplug the power supply before adding or removing DIMMs or other system components. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to both the motherboard and the components. Follow these steps to install a DIMM. DDR DIMM notch 1. Locate the DIMM sockets in the motherboard. 2. Unlock a DIMM socket by pressing the retaining clips outward. 3. Align a DIMM on the socket such that Unlocked Retaining the notch on the DIMM matches the Clip break on the socket. A DDR DI
