OPERATION FORWARD/REVERSE/LOCK OFF TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK SELECTOR ■ Lock the switch trigger on the drill by placing the direction of rotation (forward-reverse) selector in center position. OPERATION TWO SPEED REVERSIBLE GEAR TRAIN (HI-LO) See Figure 4. This tool has the feature of being reversible. The direction LO SPEED of rotation is controlled by a selector located above the switch trigger. OPERATION ADJUSTING TO DECREASE ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH RING TORQUE This drill is equipped with an adjustable torque clutch for driving different types of screws into different materials. OPERATION DRILLING See Figure 13. When drilling hard smooth surfaces use a center punch to mark desired hole location. This will prevent the drill bit from slipping off center as the hole is started. However, the low speed feature allows starting holes without center punch- ing if desired. To accomplish this, simply operate the drill at a low speed until the hole is started. OPERATION CHUCK REMOVAL See Figures 14, 15, and 16. The chuck must be removed in order to use some accesso- ries.
