Selecting a Location When selecting a location to install the GMR 600/1200 series radar, consider the following: • An ideal mounting location is high above the keel line of the ship with a minimal part of the structure or rigging blocking the radar beam. Installing the Mounting Studs and Seals 1. Remove the hatch on the front of pedestal by loosening the screw and lifting the hatch off of the hinges as shown in Figure 1. 2.
