4) WORKOUT PROGRESS The Workout Progress Screen opens automatically upon completion of the workout setup, signaling the user to start the workout. 3 HEART RATE ZONE TRAINING EXERCISE 3.1 WHY HEART RATE ZONE TRAINING EXERCISE? 3.2 HEART RATE MONITORING THE LIFEPULSE SYSTEM To use the treadmill’s Lifepulsesystem to check the heart rate during a workout, grasp the stainless steel sensors on the TM Ergo front handlebar. Two sensors are located on each of the handlebars. Contact must be maintained with all four sensors to obtain a heart rate. 4 THE WORKOUTS 4.1 WORKOUT OVERVIEWS The following workouts are preprogrammed for the Life Fitness Treadmill. QUICK START is the fastest way to begin exercising and it bypasses the steps involved in selecting a specific workout pro- gram. After the QUICK START key is pressed, a constant level workout begins.
