THE SET-UP PROCESS Assuming you have connected a HDMI cable or Component Video cable between your set-top box and you flat panel television screen, the following will automatically appear when using this product for the first time. If no screen appears, unplug the HDMI cable and connect again. This will force the set- top mode into this mode (i.e. it’ll automatically switch). BASIC OPERATION SERVICE LIST MODE Now that your digital receiver is set-up and working, you are able to watch television by simply pressing the key on the remote controller. HARD-DRIVE MANAGEMENT It is possible to enable (and disable) the hard-drive to prolong its performance. In addition, you have the option to ERASE the hard-drive or just the TIMESHIFT buffer.
