ASSEMBLY ATTACHING THE POWER HEAD TO THE STRING TRIMMER TRIMMER ATTACHMENT SHAFT See Figure 2. COUPLER WARNING: GUIDE RECESS Never attach or adjust any attachment while power head is running. ASSEMBLY MUFFLER GUARD ASSEMBLY See Figure 6. REAR HOUSING 1. Remove muffler guard and two screws from the owner's kit. TORX WRENCH 2. Attach the muffler guard to the rear housing. 1 OPERATION STARTING AND STOPPING IGNITION SWITCH See Figures 10 and 11. MAINTENANCE STRING REPLACEMENT See Figures 14, 15, 16 and 17. SPOOL SPRING 1. Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug wire. Hold the string head and unscrew the spool retainer. MAINTENANCE REPLACING AND CLEANING AIR FILTER See Figures 18 and 19. For proper performance and long life, keep air filter clean. LATCH 1.
