Octaves Buttons An octave contains 12 notes. Each octave is marked out clearly on your Keystation 49e keyboard, by black and white sections starting on C. Each octave is given a number. Transpose works in the same way as Octave Shift above, except the shift is +/- 12. As with Octave Shift, there are two ways of transposing the keyboard. Trouble-Shooting Here are answers to common trouble-related questions you may have, using your Keystation 49e: Problem 1: My M-Audio hardware suddenly stopped working after having performed fine since installation.
