Hardware Setup Port Numbering Each CPU port on the CS-1772 / CS-1774 switch is assigned a port number (1 or 2 for the CS-1772; 1 to 4 for the CS-1774). The port numbers are marked on the rear panel of the switch (see p. 7). The Port ID of a computer is derived from the CPU port number it is connected to.
