Connections Connecting the AV Controller Connecting Your Speakers The AV controller is designed to be used with a separate multichannel power amplifier. Bi-amping the Front Speakers The FRONT L/R and SURR BACK L/R outputs can be used with front speakers and surround back speakers, respec- tively, or bi-amped to provide separate tweeter and woofer feeds for a pair of front speakers that support bi-amping, pro- viding improved bass and treble performance. Connecting a Balanced Audio Source You can connect a balanced audio source to the AV controller’s BALANCE L/R INPUT jacks by using two XLR audio cables. To use the balanced input, you must assign it to an input selector (➔ 47). If you connect a mono source, use the BALANCE L INPUT jack and set the “Input Channel” setting to “Mono(L)” (➔ 47).
