POWERING THE CALLER ID UNIT The unit can operate on batteries only, but you must use the AC power supply in order for the new call 1 indicator light and the display backlighting to work. TABLETOP INSTALLATION 1. Connect the telephone line cord to the jack on the back of the unit marked TO LINE, and to the modular wall jack. 2.
