Choose a location that provides the following: A large, sturdy desk or table. Make sure it can easily support the weight of your system, including all its components. A flat, hard surface. Arranging the Components First decide how you want to arrange your system components. You can set up the Equity II main unit horizontally or vertically. In the vertical position shown in Figure 1-2, the main unit stands upright on its side with the keyboard and monitor beside it. Connecting a Video Monitor The Equity II has a built-in video interface for connecting a monitor. The exact procedure you use to connect your monitor to the main unit depends on the type of monitor you have. See your monitor manual for detailed instructions or follow these general guidelines: 1.
