Chapter 1 Introduction 1.1 Overview IPmux-1/1E offers a solution for extending traditional E1/T1, ISDN, or POTS TDM services transparently over the widely deployed IP networks. The device converts the data stream coming from its user ports into configurable sized IP packets that are extended over the Fast Ethernet port and vice versa.
