Procedure 1. Select a Slot for Installation. Although the 4000E is factory shipped with Slot 1 open, interface modules may be installed in any slot, 1–4. 2. Powering Up Your 4000E BLC CAUTION: Turn your DC power source(s) OFF until you have completed connection of the 4000E as outlined in the following sections. Do not operate the 4000E without a ground connection. Procedure 1. DC Terminal Blocks 4. Select a terminal block. Using a Phillips Screwdriver, remove the upper screw from the chosen terminal block (labeled "+" on the chassis). Slide the ring terminal of your positive power lead around the shaft of the screw and insert the screw into the same "+" terminal from which it was removed.
