1 Introduction The Initio I/OHIGHWAY is a high-performance PCI bus master FastSCSI host adapter which provides the interface between the FastSCSI 1 bus and the PCI local bus. 5 Getting Started Host Adapter and the SCSI Bus I/OHIGHWAY is a bus mastering host adapter which works with the host computer to provide control for the SCSI bus. By daisy chaining peripheral devices together, up to seven devices can be linked with I/OHIGHWAY. The host adapter can be placed in any 2 standard PCI slot on the bus. SCSI devices that are connected to the internal connector are installed inside the host computer enclosure.
