Installing the battery pack incorrectly will prevent the unit from operating. Use only the supplied NiMH battery pack. Do not charge alkaline or non rechargeable batteries. CAUTION 5. Before placing the battery cover back on the radio, check the rubber seal around the battery compartment and the ribbon of the battery pack.
