Features of the System Introduction The APC Battery Management System provides automated monitoring of large battery systems that supply backup for 120-, 240-, and 480-volt power systems. Battery management features The system enables you to do the following: • Identify weak or defective batteries that need replacement. • Optimize the charge state of batteries within a string by automated charging of individual batteries with a lower voltage.
