Be sure to keep your packing materials. They provide the best protection possible for your computer if you need to move or ship it later. Removing the disk drive protector sheet A cardboard sheet occupies the diskette slot in the floppy disk drive. This sheet is inserted at the factory to protect the read/write heads. If you have special computer furniture or want to customize your setup, you can arrange your system components to suit your own needs. Before you connect the cables, take a look at the front and back panels of the main unit. The front panel Figure 1-2 identifies the various components on the front panel.
