Some of the most important information in this section is how to connect the iWAY to your car's power, and how to use the USB-to-PC cable to add songs or picture files to your MMC or SD Card. NOTE: When operating on external power, the iWAY is designed to enter a Standby mode if the external power source fails. For full details, see the discussion of power button functions in Sec. 4. Other Accessories The iWAY comes with a soft fabric face cover to protect the screen from damage when it’s not in use. It simply slips on and off the unit. Map Mode Practice Run Start with the iWAY installed in your car. As you practice, try navigat- ing to a location at least a few blocks away. You should start out navi- gating to a destination you're already familiar with. Don't be too sur- prised if iWAY suggests a different route than you would take. Try the iWAY's route. The Map Mode Display and On-Screen Commands The Map Mode screen shows your current position and the path of your cur- rent route from a "bird's-eye" view.
