Airplanes When using your NOOK on an airplane, be sure to follow the instructions of the flight crew. To turn your NOOK’s wireless networking on or off, do this: 1. Tap the gear icon in the Status Bar to open the Quick Settings window. 2. Slide the Wi-Fi switch on or off. Or slide the Airplane Mode switch to on.
