GETTING UP AND RUNNING CHARGING THE BATTERY Before the camera can be used, the lithium-ion battery must be charged. Before charging the bat- tery, read the safety warnings on pages 3 and 4 of this manual. Only recharge the battery with the supplied battery charger. INSTALLING AND REMOVING A MEMORY CARD Always turn off the camera and confirm the indicator lamp is not lit before changing the memory card, otherwise the card may be damaged, and data lost. ABOUT MEMORY CARDS The response time during recording and playback is longer with MultiMediaCards compared with SD Memory Cards.
