ASSOCIATING THE HANDSET The icon and the text "NOT SUB" flashes on the display when the handset is not associated to the base. You have to associate a handset to a base, before you can use it. USING THE BUTLER 700C HANDSET ATTENTION : How to use the handset depends on the base to which the handset has been associated. Some of the below mentioned functions will not be available because the are not supported by the DECT base. Especially the functions ‘identification caller’ and ‘missed calls list’ strongly depend on the base station. SECRET MODE ( TEMPORARY DEACTIVATION OF THE MICROPHONE ) It is possible to put an external correspondent on hold during a conversation. USE WITH THE TOPCOM FREEPORT First of all, associate the handset to the Freeport base as described earlier in this manual. As soon as the association is completed, the handset automatically receives an internal number.
