Basic Operation on the Settings Screen You can change the print settings such as page size, media type, bordered or borderless print, etc. on the settings screen either in the copy mode, in the memory card mode, or when printing directly from a PictBridge compliant device. Turning the Machine On and Off Turn on the machine before printing. Turning on the Machine Before turning on the machine, confirm the following. • The FINE Cartridges are installed properly. Screen-saver Mode The LCD goes out if the machine is not operated for about five minutes*. * You cannot change the wait time before the LCD goes out. Note When you want to restore the display, perform a print operation or press any button except for the ON/OFF button. When you press the ON/OFF button while the machine is in Screen-saver mode, the machine turns off. • Loading Paper _,_ Important • If you cut plain paper to 4" x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4 mm, 5" x 7" / 127.0 x 177.8 mm, or 2.13" x 3.39" / 54.0 x 86.0 mm (credit card-size) for a trial print, it can cause paper jams. • You cannot print on postcards affixed with photos or stickers. • Always load paper in portrait orientation (A).
