Preparation Attaching the Wide Mask A wide mask is provided with the monitor. This changes the viewable screen area to the 16:9 aspect ratio. Caution: • The wide mask cannot be attached to the monitor after the monitor is mounted in a rack. Mount the wide mask before installing the monitor in a rack. • If you attach and remove the wide mask many times, the screws may not be fixed securely. • Use only the provided screws. 1. How to Use the External Control About the External Control The Multi-Format Monitor has two external control terminals. One is the MAKE/TRIGGER terminal, which allows the monitor to be controlled by the MAKE (make contact) or TRIG. (trigger) method selected in the function setting.
