Chapter 1 Introduction The mating connector for the PCI-1200 is a 50-position, polarized, ribbon socket connector with strain relief. National Instruments uses a polarized (keyed) connector to prevent inadvertent upside-down connection to the PCI-1200. Chapter 2 Installation and Configuration Board Configuration The PCI-1200 is completely software configurable. The PCI-1200 is fully compliant with the PCI Local Bus Specification, Revision 2.0. Therefore, all board resources are automatically allocated by the system. For the PCI-1200, this allocation includes the base memory address and interrupt level. Chapter 2 Installation and Configuration Analog Output Polarity The PCI-1200 has two channels of analog output voltage at the I/O connector. You can configure each analog output channel for either unipolar or bipolar output. A unipolar configuration has a range of 0 to 10 V at the analog output. A bipolar configuration has a range of –5 to +5 V at the analog output. In addition, you can select the coding scheme for each D/A converter (DAC) as either two’s complement or straight binary. If
