The Remot e Management Module is a 1.23-inch x 2.30-inch print ed cir cuit boar d. Chapt er 3. Configuring the r emot e management module This chapt er describes how t o use the Setup Utility pr ogr am t o configur e the r emot e management module fr om the un-configur ed status t o the running status. Chapt er 4. Getting star t ed with Remot e Management Module The Remot e Management Module featur es an embedded web ser ver and applications offering a variety of standar diz ed int er faces. This section describes both the int er faces and how t o use them. The int er faces ar e accessed using T CP/IP pr ot ocol. Chapt er 5. Remot e Console (KVM) oper ation The Remot e Console is the r edir ect ed scr een, k eyboar d and mouse of the r emot e host syst em wher e the Remot e Management Module is installed. T o use the Remot e Console window of your managed host syst em, the br owser must include a Java* Runtime Envir onment plug-in. If the br owser has no Java suppor t, such as with a small handheld device, the user can maintain the r emot e host syst em using the administr ation forms displayed by the br

Remot e Console contr ol bar The upper par t of the Remot e Console window contains a contr ol bar . Using its elements you can see the status of the Remot e Console and influence the local Remot e Console settings. The following sub sections describe the tasks you can per form within each contr ol. The vir tual devices act just lik e any other CDROM or floppy on the r emot e syst em. They can be r ead, writt en (assuming they ar e not r ead-only), and boot ed. The pair of vir tual devices only appear on the r emot e oper ating syst em or BIOS setup menus when some media r edir ection is active. The vir tual devices persist acr oss r emot e syst em r esets and power up/downs. They do not disappear fr om the r emot e syst em until the checkbo x es ar e uncheck ed in the Remot e Console windo
