Clean Your Automatic Hot Tea Maker Before Using the First Time! Wash ceramic tea pot and lid in mild detergent and water. Rinse each thoroughfy. Follow steps 4 through 6 below (with water only) to clean the inside of your automatic hot tea maker. Steeping Tea 1. Steeping Tea (continued) 8. Turn your automatic hot tea maker switch ON. The wamer plate will automatically start heating the pot to avoid “shocking” the tea once it is dispensed. This is accom- plished by a specially designed tea pot. Do not turn off unit until brewing is complete, and all water has drained from the reservoir. Cleaning Instructions Your automatic hot tea maker ~ be cleaned when you begin to notice excessive steaming or the steeping time increases considerably. This condition is caused by a buildup of lime and mineral deposits from your water.
