• The amber pilot light (I) will come on from time to time during ironing. • If you set the temperature control (A) to a lower setting after ironing at a high temperature, do not begin again before the amber pilot light (I) has come on and has gone out again. This is to prevent scorching on your garment. Shot-of-Steam 9 (only type HI 322, 332 and 342) (see table) • By pressing the Shot-of-Steam button 9 (F), a powerful “shot” of steam is emitted from the soleplate. This can be very useful e.g. when removing stubborn creases. • The shot-of-steam facility can be used only at temperature settings higher than 2. - Press and release the shot-of-steam button 9 (F) (fig. 9). Self-cleaning » • The iron has a self-clean function to remove scale and impurities. • Apply Self-clean once every two weeks. If the water used is very hard, Self-clean should be applied more frequently. - Stand the iron on its end. - Set the steam control (B) to position O. - Set the temperature control dial (A) to MAX. - Fill the water reservoir (K) to maximum (MAX) level. - Plug in the iron to the mains, allow the iron to heat up. - When the amber pilot light (I) goes off, unplug the iron. -

Cleaning - Before cleaning remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow the iron to cool down sufficiently. - Scale and other setting can be wiped off the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner. Keep the soleplate smooth: avoid hard contact with metal objects. - The upper part of the appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth. - From time to time clean the inside of the water reservoir by filling with water and shaking.
