Important Information - please read before use To assist the auto setup of your clock radio it is recommended that, before connecting your radio to the mains supply, to fully extend the pig tail aerial on the rear of your clock radio and place your clock radio in a position where radio reception is best. 1 Note: The two LR6 (AA size) batteries provide power for the clock/memory backup and must be fitted at all times. Display backlight During automatic setup and radio text, the display backlight will remain on. The display back light will be switched on for 10 seconds whenever any button is pressed. The display backlight can also be set to remain on at 3 different levels, 1 dim, bright and off. 1. Automatic Plug and Play setup When your Clock Radio is first connected to the mains supply, or after a power failure (when backup battery is not installed), the Auto setup will proceed as follows:- • Your radio will show "FM 87.5", then automatically search all wavebands and store stations in presets. • Automatically set the time and day of week. 1. Connect to mains (see page 6). Your radio will scan through the FM waveband, storing stations of sufficient strength as presets. Note: To interrup

Setting the Clock Automatically The clock time and day of week can be set automatically when recieving an RDS radio station that transmits clock time (CT). The CT information is transmitted once every minute. If the signal has sufficient signal strength the clock will set within one to two minutes. 1. Switch on the radio with the BAND button on the CD clock radio 1 or the BAND button on the remote control. 2. Select an RDS station using the Tuning Up/Down buttons. 2 3. "CT" will flash in the LCD

Setting the alarm times 2 The alarms can be set to wake you by a buzzer, CD or the radio. Displaying the alarm time and alarm mode 1. Press either the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 buttons; the alarm time and 1 1 alarm mode will be displayed. Weekend alarm cancel 1 Your clock radio can be set to automatically cancel alarms at the weekend. 1. Ensure that your clock radio is switched off (press StandBy). 3. Snooze control 1. The radio, buzzer, or CD alarm, can be silenced for 5 minutes by pressing the Snooze button. This sequence can be repeated 1 during the 90 minutes alarm period. Sleep timer CD or radio playback can be set to switch off automatically after a preset time has elapsed. 1 1.
