RESIDENTIAL GARAGE INSTALLATION: Gas utilization equipment in residential garages shall be in- stalled so that all burners and burner ignition devices are located not less than 18 inches [46 cm] above the floor. GAS CONVERSION The gas control valve supplied on this heater is field convertible. CAUTION: A qualified installer or service agency must perform any conversion of this gas control valve. CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Remove the converting seal cap. See Figure A. WARNING: Do not remove or tamper with any other valve components. 2. PROPER BURNER FLAME BURNER BOX COVER The burner flame may be observed through the sight glass located in the burner box cover. See Figure 11. A proper flame will have a dark blue inner mantle, with a lighter blue outer mantle that extends from the burner into the heat exchanger tube, (see Figure 12). There is no primary air adjustment on the burner, and proper flame is assured since the correct manifold pressure and orificing has been done at the factory for elevations up to 2,000 feet. SIG
