Viscosity: Viscosity grade of engine oil should be based on average atmospheric temperature in your riding area. The following provides a guide to the selection of the proper grade or viscosity of oil to be used at various atmospheric temperatures. otherwise use a wire brush. 4. Check the spark plug gap (1) using a wire type feeler gauge. If adjustment is necessary, bend the side electrode (2) carefully. The gap should be : 0.6 - 0.7 mm ( 0.024 - 0.028 in ) Make sure the plug washer is in good condition. 5. With the plug washer attached, thread the spark plug in by hand to prevent cross threading. 6. Tighten a new spark plug 1/2 turn with a spark plug wrench to compress the washer. If you are reusing a plug, it should only take 1/8

STORAGE GUIDE Extended storage, such as for winter, requires that you take certain steps to reduce the effects of deterioration from non-use of the motorcycle. In addition, necessary repairs should be made BEFORE storing the motorcycle; otherwise, these repairs may be forgotten by the time the motorcycle is removed from storage. STORAGE 1.
