HOW TO USE YOUR IRON NOTE: Before first use, remove any labels or stickers on the body or sole- plate of the iron. On first use only, iron over an old cotton cloth for 2 min- utes using steps 1 thru 5 below on set- ting 5 or above with the Steam Button in the "Up" position to remove any pro- tective surface treatments. 1. STEAM IRONING Be sure there is water in the reservoir. Turn the Temperature Selector between settings 5 and 7. Unlatch the Steam Button to the "Up" position. If steam doesn't start, gently bump the soleplate on the ironing board a few times. If water drips from vents, turn the selector to a higher setting. DRY IRONING Turn the Temperature Selector Dial to the desired setting and latch the Steam Button down. For extended periods of dry ironing, empty the water from the iron (see below). CARE OF
