SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS When Connecting Refrigerant Tubing • Keep all tubing runs as short as possible. • Use the flare method for connecting tubing. • Apply refrigerant lubricant to the matching surfaces of the flare and union tubes before connecting them, then tighten the nut with a torque wrench for a leak-free connection. • Check carefully for leaks before starting the test run. INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS Selecting the Location for the Indoor and Outdoor Units: The following should be reviewed prior to selecting the location for your instal- lation. Evaporator Unit (Indoor Unit) Install the indoor unit level on a wall that can support the weight of the unit and is not subject to vibration. The inlet and outlet ports should not be blocked.
