Adjust the air shutter, if necessary, to achieve the correct looking flame (see the illustration below). • The air shutter adjusts the amount of air that mixes with the gas before it exits the burner holes. It is used to fine-tune the flame for differences in altitude and vent configuration. ADJUSTING THE AIR SHUTTER Gas Control Valve Pushing to the left gives the flame less air (making it more orange).
