Maintenance And Service REPLACING GLASS: The glass in the fireplace is a high temperature ceramic. If the glass is damaged in any way, a factory replacement is required (see PARTS LIST - COMPONENTS). Wear gloves when handling damaged glass door assembly to prevent personal injury. Check the instructions for required clearances (air spaces) to combustibles when passing through ceilings, walls, roofs, enclosures, attic rafters, or other nearby combustible surfaces. Once the pipe sections have been joined, and run up through the hole in the roof, slip an elbow strap over the exposed sections, bend the support straps outwards, and push the elbow strap down to the roof level, as shown in Figure 21. Tighten the clamp around the pipe section. Use a level to make sure the pipe is truly vertical. With roofing nails, secure the support straps to the roof.
