IMPORTANT! ONCE POLE SECTIONS ARE POUNDED TOGETHER- THEY CANNOT BE TAKEN APART Align poles using alignment marks. First, pound top and middle poles together by bouncing them on a scrap piece of wood on the ground as shown in FIG B. until they no longer 2. move toward pole identification stickers. THEN add bottom pole section and pound together in the same way. TOP CAUTION! THE IDENTIFICATION STICKER IS 2 LOCATED 3-3/4" FROM THE END OF THE POLE. Secure tank struts (21 & 22) to pole. 4. WARNING! 5 17 10 17 21 22 TIGHTEN BOLT (10) IN LOCK NUT (5) UNTIL 1 FLUSH (EVEN) WITH LOCK NUT’S OUTER EDGE. Pole bracket will need to be lightly pressed into backboard ribbing. Be sure to press completely into place. Attach rim to backboard and pole bracket (14) with nut (20), reinforcement bracket (15), and carriage bolt (8) as shown. Tighten nut completely. 6.
