Using Batteries You can power your SCP-84 from two AA batteries. We recommend alkaline batteries, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-557, not sup

Its center tip is set to DC 3V negative, and its plug correctly fits the jack on the bottom of the SCP-84. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the SCP-84 or the adapter. • Always plug the AC adapter’s barrel plug into the SCP-84 before you plug its power module into the AC outlet, and unplug its power module from the AC

After you begin listening, adjust the volume to a comfortable level. • Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended high-volume listening can lead to perma- nent hearing loss. • Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a vol-
