RDS OPERATIONS What you can do with RDS EON RDS (Radio Data System) allows FM stations to send an additional signal along with their regular programme signals. Using Standby Reception Standby Reception allows the unit to switch temporarily to your favorite programme (PTY: Programme Type) and Traffic Announcement (TA) from the current source — another FM station and CD.
